Default Is less energy for 7-10 bulbs that are on all the time and a bunch more which come on only at...

...start up or occasionally really THAT big of a concern?

Default I read "overdoing it" as overloading it. Hence my statement for the LED's using less energy than

stock bulbs.

Default good point, i didnt think of the other lights being too bright when they come on like a cel

2 for the tach

1 for the coolant temp gauge

2 for the speedo

1 for the clock

2 for the mpg gauge

is there a bulb for the odometer? or is that illumated by the speedo bulbs?

1 for the gas gauge

1 each for the 3 aux gauges

so thats 12 bulbs correct?

Default Oops, read my earlier post again. The aux. gauges in the B3 cars use differant bulbs. The same

bulbs you use for the cluster won't work in the auxillary's. In the B4 90 they would though. I'm thinking the "74 Wedge Base LED bulb" which is right under the other bulb on the site may work in the aux. gauges. That's only a hunch though, maybe others can help us out?

Default Well...

1 through 6 are for the 4 gauges (one bulb doesn't necessarily light one gauges as there are two light diffusers on either side of the cluster). The clock bulb is the one next to the yellow connector.

Default thanks for the pic! i was just guessing on how many bulbs i need.

i figured there is at least 2 bulbs for the speedo and tach since there bigger then the gas gauge and the coolant temp gauge. it looks like there is 2 bulbs for the mpg display and 1 for the clock making it 9. now i need to find out the type of bulbs are used for the aux gauges.
