Default How to patch a hairline crack on top of the coolant reservoir?

Last night while poking until the hood after a long drive I noticed coolant bubbling out of a hairline crack in the top of the coolant reservoir.

Any ideas for a patch? JB weld for plastic?

Safer to just get a new tank, maybe?

Default yeah, I wouldn't risk it

hairline might turn into a canyon sized cracked, then that would suck.

It is literally the size of a pinhole right now. You can't even see it with the naked eye.

Default Had this happen on my 4000.....

The crack WILL get bigger, I was going to plastic epoxy it but found a replacement cheap. Is it along where the tank meets the fender? Thats where mine started to crack.

Default I think that new ones run about $30...

its probably better to just replace it. You could try JB weld or epoxy though.

Default TJ....

hey, Carlson took care of that ticket we talked about. He reinstated it down to non-moving violation, like equipment defect or something...$75 well spent. Thanks bud!
