Now, in the summer I do run Mobil 1 15W-50, but in the winter I put in 10W-30 Mobil 1. I wasn't looking and grabbed the wrong quart.

So, there's about 1/2 quart of 15W-50 mixed with my 10W-30 right now. The car was running very smoothly this morning. Mixing the oil like this isn't a big deal, right?

Right now I have a mix of Mobil 1 10w-30 and 15w-50 because I didn't like the idea of going all 15w-50, seems too thick. I have 3qrts 10w-30 and 3qrts 15w-50(larger oil filter to get around 6 qrts total). I just purchased 6 quarts of Mobil 5w-30 last night along with a filter. Later tonight I am going to put the 5w-30 in for the winter months. Hopefully the engine will like it as much as it does the 10w-30 and 15w-50 mix;-).

I might start doing a mix as well. I rarely have to add oil with 15W-50, but I have to add it more often with 10W-30 ... a mix of the two might do some good?
