I had these seats... until somebody lost them....

I drove over two hours to go pick up the seats for a certain someone and paid for them out of pocket. Then stored them in my house for a few months. And then to help someone out so they might be ready to install earlier, I took them back down to Seattle to get custom brackets made. During this process I got fed up with the project that wasn't even for me....
The padding blanket slipped off one of the seats in transit and the metal bottom scratched up my side window tint. And then when trying to tack up a slider in place in my car, my rear carpet kept on getting burnt because the it was close quarters.
So I bailed on the project, left the seats in the warehouse (most everyone in the shop knew they were 'mine'), and took a few of my rims home instead.
Over the next few months, my buddy who works at the shop told me a should take them home, but never anything like "if you don't get them this weekend, they are going bye-bye." So I kept on stalling, knowing that most likely he would still be the one building the brackets at the shop. So why take the seats home just to bring them back. It's not like they were in the way...
Anyway, a month or so ago, I was going down anyway, so I thought I might as well pick them up. And then I found out they were thrown away (yup, just out the back of the shop into the dumpster) a few days earlier. No warning, nothing. Dumpster only gets emptied once a week, so we call over to the shop from the track.... yup, emptied yesterday.
Needless to say, I am still super pissed about the situation, and they weren't even my seats. And the guy who threw them out (in all regards a good friend of mine) doesn't seem to care one bit. Thinks it's some kind of joke... Says I shouldn't care either and lsk can just 'lick a bag...' I think it is BS.
The offer to make things right is cost + 10% on any seat, plus free brackets and mounting. Or a super deal on any minor blemish seat in stock (things like a stitch coming loose, or a ding on the underside of the seat), but good luck finding two matching ones... I still think it is BS.
Alright, I'm done...
And I still feel really bad about it...
