Default how many miles are on it?

if its nearing 90K then I would just replace it, but usually when they go bad they start to get cracks in them.

Default ??? you on crack

You know what the specs are. 60k to 75 tops. Tensioners and waterpumps could very well go before the belt, so you must remove the belt to check the tensioners. The timing belt may look new, I've seen many belts, some with 50k on them and some with 100K on them, they look the same. They develop small cracks you can't see and next thing you know is snap.. hehe..

90K is too many miles to wait, you'd have to be an idiot not to.

However, do you see any brand markings on the timing belt?

better to take everything apart and look, rather than to take that $2000 risk.

Opinions?

Default

Visual condition is NOT a good indicator of remaining belt life (change it of course if it looks bad
