Default yes

but because u got so much traction with quattro u try to go faster and turn qucker to get that drift, so end up in a ditch:-) Thats what i like about rwd cars, u don't have to try hard and can do tricks at safe speeds, with quattro u have to risk:-)

Default Re: yes the electric stuff will help with "normal" or "casual" driving, butt....

Best driver control (because of the center diff) is actually a 1st gen quattro...Ask any of the rally guys that question, or Audi Sport. They tried a torsen in the rally cars, and the drivers didn't like it. It may have gotten limited use on tarmac-only stages, but nothing has been proven/said to show that to be true. Most of the time there was no center diff, like Squidix9's car. The Grp. N (?) S2 Scott J. serviced had a locked rear, no center, and an LSD front IIRC.

TransAm and IMSA cars, depending on the venue, had no center diff or a non-Torsen diff.

A fault of the Torsen is that it is totally mechanical, and relies on gear speed/torque/etc to split between F and R. Because it is purely mechanical, it is a "dumb" device that can be confused by the driver, especially on low Cf surfaces (gravel, ice, snow).

If I want to get some where fast in snow/ice, I'll take the '87.5 5kq because it is so dern predictable and easy to control.
