I pulled the connector off the throttle position sensor and cleaned it off...

Default I pulled the connector off the throttle position sensor and cleaned it off...

Drove 30 miles back to my house and no CEL. Maybe this fixed the problem? I guess I will drive on it for a few more days and see what happens.

its possible but more likely re-adjusting it when re-installing did the trick

Default I never took it off the car.

Just unplugged the sensor, cleaned the contacts, plugged it back in with it still on the car.
