I think my cast exhaust manifold has a hole in it
when I am stopped with heater on I am getting exhaust in car. I removed the heat shield and see a small whole where the manifold meets the downpipe to cat. What are my options and how hard of a job will it be. BTW 91 90 20VQ

how hard to replace, or to try to weld?
I've done a swap from the cast manifold to the tubular header, and it wasn't that bad. Getting to some of the bolts is a PITA but it can be done.
I would do the swap if I were you, but make sure you get a header with the full down pipe. I had a cut off dp and had to weld in a flex section and I replaced the cat with a metal core cat.

That would be a wierd spot for a leak. Are you sure it's leaking there?
Put your hand down there while it's running. Also you should be able to hear it leaking.
I'm with JPCady, if you are going to that trouble get the Bag o Snakes just make sure you get the down pipe and at least the heat shield.
