Well, I'm putting in the connect points today. I'm not going to drive around with the harnesses in all the time.

I'm using the seat rails to clamp heavy duty hooks to. I assume this is ok, the seat base is mounted to the seat rails.

For the two point behind the seat, I'm going to use the existing bolts where the seats fold down. (I took out the rear seat base and it looks like that will work.

Does that sound like a reasonable solution? I've seen other cars setup in a similar fashion, but I haven't checked with any experts on the matter. I guess I should take it by Piper Motorsports and see what they think. (They build porsche race cars that you'd see on Speed Channel races, so they'd know if it was safe or not ... they also made my seat bases).

I have always heard that you shouldn't use harnesses without a rollcage. If you flip the car and the roof crushes in, your body will naturally lean into the middle of the car, preventing the roof from crushing your head. If you are strapped into a harnesses you have nowhere to go.

I am sure others can clarify further. Maybe this is only for "5-point" harnesses?

But I'll put my 4 harness points in now without actually putting the harness in the car. I'll run by them to see what they think before actually using the harnesses.

Mine are 4 point sparco clubman harnesses. I'll do a google search and see if I can find some installation examples online.
