Default Info from SGI for the 90 to A4 transformation

I've written SGI in Germany a few notes on their kit and tried to get some info. Apparently the A4 is 15cm (approx 6-7") shorter then my 90. So you can either buy their kit and ship it over here or shorten your front end by 15cm and use A4 parts. I haven't looked totally into pricing their kits but it's a couple grand at least. They will sell you the bummper, hood, and fenders. You have to get the A4 lights on your own. For those with the €€ to spend on it I'm jealous.

http://www.sgi-online.de/cabrio_bau06.shtml</a

Default Same reason your sticking a V12 in a gorgeous BMW

A matter of personal taste. IMHO I'd leave your bimmer alone. You want to bastardize a car don't do it to such a cool car, take an M3 or something.

Default Except the factory actually MADE a v-12 coupe for Hans Stuck - so its just an option :)

Heck, with all the money one would spend to make a car LOOK like an A4, you could build a motor with 500 hp!

ok so if your going for the Hans Stuck effect why not install a V12 from 1971 (I believe that was the yr he got it) instead?
I don't mean to be a PITA and wish you the best w/ your project, but it's just a pet peeve of mine when people install big stupid engines of different era's and even makes in nice old cars. I'm a early jag fan as well and hate to see big blocks of american crap under the hood of a gorgeous XKE.

As for the A4 thing I was simply trying to give people here some info on other body options for our square cars. Not everyone like the box..
oh and nice rounded S2 bumper..

Peace..
