Default Install questions to RS2 light people..

I can't seem to fit light housing into the car. There are two round little thing sticking out on the bottom of the housing. I wonder if you need to chop those thing out.

Also per nick's instructions to connect the resistor and the extra wire to the white/black on the blinker feed, I don't see that wire, mine is white/red. Is that the same thing? Well then my blinker is flashing really fast on the rear but not in the front..

Am I missing something here?

TIA

Default Update: Housing is in butI still get not signal/blink on the fronts.

The rears blink so fast. And is it normal for the resistor to get soooo hot? I was afraid it might melt something that touches it.

TIA

Default You need a bigger resistor.

It blinks fast because it's got too much power.

what you need to do is add the 4th wire to the connector, which is the wire for the turn signal... Once you add this wire, just hook it up to the blinker wire, which used to plug into your corner light. Add a resistor and you're done.

Default

if you have the 4th wire in, and hooked up properly, then something isn't connected properly

Default Square 1

The plug for the OEM corner lights, has 3 wires.

1 is brown which is ground.

The other 2 wires, 1 is for the blinkers, other is for corner marker light.

You need to ID these two wires, specifically which one is the blinker(which you've probably done?).

Once you have ID'd the blinker, it plugs into the 4th pin, on back of the RS2's. Or if you look at your OEM plug, which plugs into the RS2's, it goes in the hole, that has no wire or small connector in it. You need to do some custom wiring, and obtain some crimp connectors.

The resistor is spliced into the wire you use to connect the blinker.

If you've done all this, and it still doesnt work, check the bulbs? See if it came loose, or needs to be re-seated?

The blinkers only work with the ignition key on. Or use the emergency flashers to test. ;O)

Default Done! whew!!!!

I figured the wires and they now blink at the normal rate.

Last question, can we adjust the projector from left to right? I know we can do up and down...

There's another plug for adjustment closer to the radiator but not sure what it's for. I tried playing with it but didn't notice any movement, or i may have been too tired to see the difference..

Default Re: Install questions to RS2 light people..

When did you put RS2 lights into the "last batch"?? 8-)

Should look really good when you get them working right.
