Default Installing turbo on Audi 90

Guys I need help. I have 1988 Audu 90 quattro with 2.3 I5 MC1 engine, CISIII. I want to put a turbo from audi 5000. I need to know do I have to change from CIS III to EFI(advantages and disadvantages) as well as what do I need to have(in terms of parts) to make the conversion. Do I need additional sensor. Do I need to make modifications on the ECU if I decide to keep the CISIII. PLease help. I'll appreciate it a lot. Thanks

For one, your car did NOT come with any version of the MC code motor, as it is a 2226cc 10v turbo, installed in the 5000/100/200 series from 1985/6 to 1991.

Your car uses the NG code 2309cc 10v.

You cannot just put the turbo engines turbo onto your existing engine and have it work. Your engine was not designed to have positive manifold pressure (turbocharger). The ECU will not understand what is going on.

Your best bet is to find a MC code motor from a 1988-1991 5k/200 and install it with its engine wiring harness and ECU, in its entirety (intake manifold, exhaust manifold, wastegate, turbo, etc).

This has been posted about NUMEROUS times on this site.

Default ????????? The entire SITE is dedicated to installing EFI...

034EFI got its start on the 10vt, why the hell wouldn't there be any information? I can think of several people on there that are running or have run EFI'd 10vt's in their 80/90's.

What you are saying is that I need to change the hole engine, or just the head
