Default Interior lighting question...

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/47889/272.jpg"></center><p>hello again,
i have been off for a while but i am back with a new question.Im thinking of making my own lighting modification seen here on Oliver's car,so that when the doors are open a footwell light will come on.I have found some small equipment that can fit somewhere under there, but i would like someone to tell me how to connect them to the wiring of the door buttons so that i can have the effect i need.

I dont have much electrical experience so step by step guidance would be prefered!!! lol

anyway,i kinda understand that i need to find a wire that somehow arrives under the steering wheel compartment and join that wire with the one side of the lighting equipment.Do i need somekind of earthlink?

Default The Type44's do this. There is a timer relay that triggers the lights

to come on when a door is opened, and then shut off after XX seconds.

Default Oh, your car should have that relay, it hooks into the map/dome lights when you select the "door"

setting on their switches. Find the wiring, and tap into that.

my car doesnt have a timer relay.the light comes on immediatelly after a door is opened and immediatelly off when closed.I dont mind that happening, but anyone knows or has a pic even(!!) that i can see where the wiring for this comes thru?

Default Like this..........

For the light to go on everytime the door is open all you have to do is hook it up to a switch on the door(Looks like a button covered with a small boot) Hook each one up to the different door if your going to isstall them on each side. This way everytime you open the door on any side light goes on only on thats side and nowhere else.
