Turns out that the 4k and B3 lower airbox housings are not the same, so when AudiSport4000 and I tried to fit my old Jamex lower airbox in his '86 4kq, no workie. Mounting points at the fender were wrong.
The Jamex tower brace did go in however.
Anyway, anyone with a CIS car feel like running an open element filter, with heat sheild? On a 20v car, the airbox isn't nearly as large of a restriction as it is on the CIS cars (20v restriction is the MAF). It'll fit any B3 10v/20v car, should fit even the 8v cars.
I have an email link on my website (click sig).
