I finally got everything back together on my coupe, 4 grand and 6 months later, what a long haul, anyways i got no spark, if i bridge the timing sensor that picks up the signal from the flywheel the motor runs, but not when its all hooked up proporly, the flywheel is from a 91 US model CQ and my car is a 90 CQ canadian car, just wondering if the flywheels are different or the sensor pin locations are different, before i rip the motor out again, Im hopin to have all my traffic violations paid off to drive the damn thing to the pacific northwest burien meet, any help is apriciated, if i had any hair it would all be pulled out by now, ill have some pics up soon, when everything is finished

...or (if possible) install the flywheel out of whack? I've seen the pins just fall out in two cases (a UrQ and a 4000). Good luck, post photos when you can....it sounds great!

The machine shop that lightened the flywheel and crank pulley and balanced the crank, rods, flywheel, pulley and clutch, when they pressed the pins back in , they bent one so it wuznt close enough to the sensor, problem solved, now to put the damn thing back together...........

I saw him work on a 1.8 VW engine once and my jaw was on the floor. He's the only guy I would trust to work on my car besides me.
