cone in the stock airbox, ditching that for a modified box w/ velocity stack &amp; stock filter

MikTip - i noticed your bearing plates are screwed/bolted in... was that a design change from the '88-'92 model years to the 93-95s? or did you do that mod yourself, and if so, how/where did you get the parts? my bearings wear out about every 18 months, and while that may be indicitive of another part failure, it drives me nuts!
