Later B5 steering wheel on Procon-Ten CQ?

I've searched and saw discussion of airbag equipped CQs doing the conversion with an adapter of sorts, but what about a non-airbag equipped CQ? The wheel in mine is showing it's age and a nicer, newer, thicker grip wheel, that appears stock, would be a nice update.
