leaking head gasket.....maybe
my 4 cyl 90 has lost about 500mL of coolant over the past 6 weeks twice. i have checked many times for leaks and there are none, so im going under the assumption that its being burnt. problem is i cant tell if its really blowing white smoke becuase its always blwoing white smoke due to the fact that its winter. today when i filled up the coolant and oil i noticed 2 things: little bit of liquid around the head gasket that was dark but smelled a bit like coolant, and also when i took the oil filler cap off the underside of it was covered in a white sludgy material. any ideas?

Brown Mayo in Valvecover = Water in Oil.
Usually caused from not completely warming up the car everytime you drive.
Brown mayo in the oil or oil in the coolant is a different story however.
