Default Let's revisit SSS (squeaky seat syndrome).

in2audi, you were my reference on this one. Circled in red is the bolt I tightened and received immediate (albeit temporary) relief. Once my 190lb. *** settled in, the squeak was back!

I have included some additional pictures to help identify other areas I should be tending to. Thanks for any help!

Default not sure if it has any relevance on a 90 seat, but my A6 squeaks like crazy at times

-It's caused by the seatbelt latch rubbing on the leather.

Default It's been a few years since I fixed my seat so I can't remember exactly...

which bolt I tightend but the one you have circled looks familar (it was in that area). I think it was an allen head bolt and it was hiding under some of that carpet. It was pretty loose when I found it.
Make sure to check the bolts on both sides, I think the bolt that was loose on mine was on the left side of the seat (closest to the driver door as you're sitting in it).
I thought it might loosen up again or the squeak would come back but it's been several years since I fixed it and it's holding up nicely to my 200+lb ***. Good luck... it drove my nuts till I got it fixed!

PS. I got sick of people telling me to check my seat belt rubbing the leather... Errr!
