MAF Adapter?

what is a MAF adapter, and where can i get one? Miktip already helped sort of, but i dont need the whole setup that TAP has, i am hoping to find one for my 1993 audi 90s. please help, i already have the cone, but miktip said i need a MAF adapter too.... i am lost on that one. thanks

on ebay there are cheap universal adapters, maybe i can get one of those and just make a few alts.
i didnt know if a MAF adapter was just a metal piece of wiring and some metal peice. shoud there be a heat shield on it too? wont the heat kill the cold air thing i am trying to do?
