Correct there are factory S4/6 brackets that can be purchased as well

The mounting area is indentical, so it's just a choice of words. Bracket, tang, doohickey

The new upgraded plates, can they be used with the older bars?

If so is it possibly to just purchase those. I sort of bent the drives side one but it was actually due an in proper install not your bar. I was just hoping to get a set because when I get the next project car it looks like it would help increase the strength of the actually B4 brackets.
