Yes, it actually worked on the 88! ;O)
I was given the tip, from a mechanic friend, who stated he does it all the time. The key is to make sure the O2 is completly dry, before you place it back into service.
Cant say that it would work all the time, but it may buy you some more miles on the O2's? ;O)
