so I am sitting at a light waiting for it to change when i hear this loudness coming from my fuel pump, then my car dies. It fired right back up and ran fine and when i got home i let it idle just to make sure. air pocket? passing some dirt?
It might be getting on its last leg....i replaced my pump on my 88 roughly around 120k when it died, I am close to that.
I bought mine from blau and I can't remember the manufacturer but it was supposed to be better then bosch and a few bucks more. anybody know?
anyways I really hate these little hiccups, it makes me not trust going that far in fear of breaking down.

No idea when it was last changed, It came with the car as it was and that was 8 months ago.
it didnt really sound like a blockage, more like the fuel pump dying out.
I didnt find it to be a stupid question, how does one ever know when they are going to lose their pump until its too late and your stranded somewhere. I for one do not like to find out the hard way.
it wasnt the only thing i asked, I was looking for the brand that blaufernugen was selling awhile back. They do not list the brand they are selling now and since they never return emails its pointless to ask. I take it you do not know either?
