Default mount saver question sachs boge

I am about to order new strut mounts for the rear and looked into buying them through worldpac at my work. I can get sachs(says it's OEM) from the same distributor as boge, sachs, etc. Will they work? The picture shows the bearing as being a separate part but the mount looks about right.

Default Quoted from VAP website

Mount-Saver is a hard urethane insert thats cast specifically to fit the Boge OEM strut mount part number: 8A0 412 323D inside diameter & shape perfectly. Use of "ANY" other strut mount will destroy the insert and immediately void the warranty!!

Default It's all in the archives...

Sachs/Boge are synonymous, identical and interchangeable as that relates to OEM strut mounts. The VAP web site has been updated to reflect this as well.

https://forums.audiworld.com/9080/msgs/390715.phtml</a

That's what I was hoping. Does it matter that the bearing is separate from the mount? My other set I bought for the front struts had it as 1 piece.

Default They just press in under minimal (weight of car) pressure and it's common for them...

to come pre-assembled or separate.

Default part # question

The part number on the box is not he OEM Audi one. It says 802 159 SAC on it instead. Is that the correct one?

*edit* Looks like WorldPac failed, PN on the mount says: 8A0 412 355 A

What make/model is that from?

That's like every stealership trying to tell you not to put aftermarket parts in your car.

According to Sachs/Boge website that part number(802 159) is the correct one for a 1990-91 Coupe. Does that mean it is the same mount as the 8A0 412 323 D? Here's a pic, looks the same to me.

Default when you order the 8A0 412 323D from Audi you actually receive the 8A0 412 355A strut mount...

Been that way for a couple years now. ETKA still lists only the 323D as a valid part number and shows the 355A as an invalid part number. Yet the 355A is the latest/greatest OEM strut mount and the one you receive when ordering any previous strut mount part number from the dealer.

Default You're a little new here, uninformed/uneducated with regard to strut mounts and might wanna...

at least make a cursory attempt at getting up to speed on Chinese-made strut mounts before presuming otherwise and/or accusing me personally of any such tactic at my site.
