well, after calling everywhere i could think of, and 14 trips to my junkyard, i gave up on the stock p/s system(well line anyways) and replaced it with the power steering pump, and line from an 84 audi 4k(i chose this model, because its very similar, including the mounting style) the only difference is how the return line connects to the pump, its the same connection at the rack, had to make a couple modifications(shorter belt and had to remove some plastic shielding between primary radiator and the p/s pump to get that extra lil bit of tensioning space, ended up using a goodyear 17386 belt for it, required a little bit o work to get on, but wasn't too bad(loosened the pump, and the pump mount on the engine to twist pump slightly, then got belt on, tensioned it, and its runnin like a champ now, no leaks or anything) the other reason i chose this setup, was because, well, ive seen it on prolly 40 different cars at the junkyard between audi, and VW heres pics of the new setup (was cost effective too, $30 i think)
