I started to adjust the locking pins on my hood to try to get it too pop up right when released.

I adjusted the driver side pin inward and it worked perfectly, I shut the hood and it poped up great on that side. Then I opened it again and adjusted the passenger side pin. It shut fine, very snug, then when i went to open it, the passenger side refuses to release. I tried pulling on the release wire from inside the car with a pair of pliers and that didn't get me anywhere. Does anybody have any other ideas, or maybe another way for me to get to the latch to manually open it? I'm extremely desperate right now so i'll try just about anything

when I did my b4 hood swap...what is probably happening is the hood pin is catching an edge of the hole it goes into. The solution that I used, was to get a long (1 foot or more) thin flat head screwdriver, insert it through the grill (with the help of a light you can see the headlight support where the pin goes through) and press against the pin (you should be able to see the hood pin...there is a small slot at the top of the headlight support where the spring "catches" the hood pin, this is where to press) mine required a couple of hits with the palm of my hand but be careful not to pry against your grill, cause you could break it! Good luck

to pry on the pin without applying pressure to the grill? My hood is the one in my sig, those lateral grills are really flimsy

I haven't fixed the problem yet as i need a ride up to my garage where my car is right now, so i won't be able to try it for a few days, but it'd be good to know so it doesn't happen again.

it needs to be properly aligned or else it will "drag" against the sides of the hole it goes into...I just loosened the large nut that is against the hood, shut the hood most of the way until I could see if it was aligned properly with the hole, then when I had it properly adjusted, tightened the nut and then it worked fine.
