It's a possibility, that or a vac leak. I'd start with vac leaks n seafoam in the gas tank. To check for vac leaks, you have a few options, all of them involve starting the car and getting it to operating temp, then a) the safest way, spray water on every hose, every gasket, every everything you can and listen for whistles I haven't had much luck with this method. So i recommend B) get a bottle of propane and a torch head for it. Do not light the torch but trace slowly along everything with it, if ya hit a leak the rpm will spike. Make sure you have a fire extinguisher handy, where good safety glasses, some kind of mask for mouth n nose, and keep your face away from it as much as possible. I recommend replacing vac lines with stout silicone ones, familiar sells kits with em for a reasonable price, and make sure the crankcase breather is well connected and sealed(drivers side of the engine black metal pipe connected to rubber coupler then another metal pipe to airfilter boot)

How much what? The vac lines? The mr.gasket kits were 26-27 bucks bout a year ago. 1 kit will replace the vast majority of the vac lines and ya can get em whatever color ya want
