I've received several incorrect responses on the exact location of my turn signal/emergency flasher. I've recieved one response saying that its above my knee, driver side, which is incorrect as I've read the key to all those relays and none are identifIed as such. I DO NOT have an emergency flasher switch, remember this is a 1988 B3. My "hazard lights" activator is an arm on the steering wheel, very much like a turn signal. I have had no turn signals/emergency hazard lights for some time. I currently cannot afford a Bentley. PLEASE, only responses that are totally familiar with the B3 would be appreciated! All responses I've recieved are from individuals who own/are familiar with B4's, their is a difference between the B3 and B4!!!
IF YOU CAN ATTACH AN ETKA DIAGRAM IDENTIFYING THESE PARTS WITH THE LOCATION, I WOULD BE EXTREMELY GRATEFUL!!!
Car specifics: 1988 Audi 90 Quattro 2.3liter engine, 10v, NG engine.

Update:
Turn signals are working again!!! It's been over six months since I've been trying to resolve this.
FYI; On a 1988 Audi 9oQ AKA B3, if your turn signals and emergency hazard lights go out check the relay first. The relay (turn signal relay for sure, but not clear if it runs the hazard lights too!) is located above drivers side knee, right below the steering wheel (a little to the left). IT IS NOT PART OF THE AUX RELAYS LOCATED IN A SIMILAR AREA SO DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME LOOKING THEIR! The turn signal relay stands alone on a clip held by a connector that runs into your "combination switch". The combination switch is basically your turn signal/lights switch/ wiper blade and hazard lights arm. I replaced this evening the entire combination switch as prior to this I went to Autozone and tried on a turn signal relay and still no turn signals, so after reviewing the forum, it pointed me to the combo switch.
Well guys, happy to say that replacing the combo switch fixed my nightmare. I still have no emergency lights working but am hoping that the turn signal relay also runs the hazard lights. Will go back to Autozone tomorrow and check it again with new combo switch!
I'll keep all updated as this was a long, stressful experience for me and I'm glad its over!

what do you expect from a dealer? your car is over 20 years old, how often do they c this old of a car?! you also got to think about the fact that their system (ETCA) has bean updated from microfish to an electronic version since then and the guys that used microfish probably dont work there anymore!

Hey Clive,
thanks for the support and your suggestion! I posted my results for others to hopefully learn from. I spent quite some time trying to locate this relay and now, through my efforts, others will locate the relay within a matter of seconds.
Yuriy,
I DID expect for the dealership to be able to tell me, instead of me instructiong them as to where its located. Aren't they supposed to be Audi specialists???? Their were four of them, including the "parts manager" trying to locate this relay on ETKA. I gave up after 40 minutes. It was a pretty pathetic site...
Oh, and I also needed the fuel line that runs from the accumulator to the pump, but after watching Curly, Moe, and Larry's performance, forget about it...

LOL, i used to work for a VW dealer, and i completly undestand them, take a look at a wiring diagram for your car in ETKA 7, it is a nightmare! even for the latter model cars which are vin active its hard! your car is most likely not vin active. the only way to find the relay is by knowing the relay number or the part number on the relay. I dont agree on how they handled it, they could have called Audi(VW) of America to get support, but they probably did not, thats their bad! But its imposible to know where each relay is located on every audi that is ever made. Sorry that you head bad expiriance with them.
