Default Need to know what kind of exhaust ya'll are using

Anyone one here installed a Magnaflow?

Looked into Stebro, but not sure how loud those are. I want something realitively quiet, so let me know what you guys are using.

Default Depends on the specific model of Magnaflo....

Not all are "quiet". ;O)

Most Audi's have 2 mufflers from the factory.

My original intent, was to build myself a single muffler system for my Audi. So I got the largest Magnaflo I could fit, in the rear section. I found I "needed" a center muffler as 1 muffler was way too loud. The combination of the 2 Magnaflo's I have sound very good! ;O)

Default 90 V6 12v, replaced the rear muffler with MUF034............

Nice tone, but then I replaced the oem center muffler with 2 others before it quieted down enough.
Don't replace the stock center muffler, uless you want it loud.

http://x3racing.com/exhausts.asp</a

Default If you want something in the middle you can use one of these

Second one down, twin tube turbopack.

I had a 4 inch round magnaflow center muffler, found it way too loud.

Replaced with one of these for about $28 with shipping and its right in the middle between the stock center muffler and any straight through design muffler.

Racerparts

Default stebro 2.5" catback for now

i have been happy with it. its not a true cat back though you need to add a little bit of pipe to their kit. i would recommend doing the 2 into 1 larger cat setup like mance(1pissedoff90) talked about doing. do a search in the 12v development forum. im sure there have been a few people to do that that you can ask. The tone is really good i think with the stebro, really brings the sound of the 12v out, twice as loud as factory id say but not too terribly loud. just mainly when you get on it. but when your idling its just fine. if your lucky ill get a sound clip up so you can hear it. email me and ill hit you back when i have it up.
