Default would your ride be more harsh?

without some type of an absorbant material to cushion the blow of road variations, you would then rely on just the springs and struts....could that eventually lead to even bilsteins blowing out? what about frame flex and tolerance and possible hairline cracks?
for the track it would great, laser sharp steering and response but maybe not so for hellish roads. I am curious though

Default Valid concerns...

but since the mount is solid and affixed to the chassis there is no chance for movement of the mount. Now the spring carries the weight of the car, the shock does not, the shock only controls the movement of the spring. Now the spring forces into the mount will be the same as before, the spherical high load bearing in the mount will easily handle the job. The lack of a dampening material should not make any issue, Mance's personal results indicate no increased road noise or harmonics. The rubber mounts have issues with moving around, this is what leads to them wearing down, plus the fact they are junk. If the Mance Mounts were not hard fixed to the chassis then there would be a big issue of the metal banging away at the strut tower, but that won't be happening. These won't have any effect on shock life that i can think of, as I stated the shock controls the movement of the spring. The shock won't have any ill effect that there isn't a rubber buffer up top. Many companies provide solid spherical bearing mounts for many other cars and there are no issues with shock life or huge issues with vibration, harmonics or other issues that are a detriment to drivability. I will be running these mounts in VT, some of the worst roads you can think of and I have no worries about it at all.

Cheers,
