Default need to replace control arm?

When changed bushing a while ago on "95 - 90 Quattro broke the studs / bolts on the lower control arm getting it off. Tried replacing with regular bolts which worked for a while but now bushings are shot again, and bolts seem to keep losing up. Any ideas or do I need to replace the whole lower control arm now? Also if need to replace control arm anyone know what size nuts I need as does not come with them and old ones are gone as they were all rusted.

Default I think you can get studs from the dealer (easiest route) and possibly

you did not torque the bushing bolts while the car is on the ground causing premature failure.

if studs are not available, make sur eto use lock nuts with a bolt.

Default You can get a set of 3 studs for like $15. Part # inside.

I recently had a similar problem, busted all 3 of my studs trying to get them off.

Here's a part number for identical studs:

8A0407175

I think they're technically from a CQ or something, not sure, but they work great!
