Finally took the plunge. I have owned Volvo's and Saab's for years, but recently picked up a 95 Quattro with 90K miles. What an amazing ride! Totally blown away. But you all know that.
I am now a few weeks into ownership and one problem has shown up. The climate control works really well, but the air flow cannot be directed either to the windshield or the floor. It just comes out the dashboard vents. Before I start yanking the dash apart, I am hoping someone has a suggestion for a fix.

Can you hear the motor? It is located under the dash pass. side.

Sorry if you mean the fan motor - yes that is working okay.

there is one motor, if it works fine through the dash vents then the redirection flap is at fault.

Mine does the same thing. Been living with it for 4 years now!

it is a very quite buzz, not the fan. when you redirect the air up/down... you should hear it.

I don't here anything when I try to redirect air up or down. Probably not a good sign.
