Default New Bosch Injectors for 7A

My 7A has 70k orig miles and runs fine, but I swapped the injectors with bosch (early light blue) + carlier adapters in the hope of getting better MPG. DOn't know about the MPG yet, but I don't notice any difference, apart from the fact I now hit a wall at 5000 RPM, push the accelerator further and nothing. Anyone experienced this ? I should have left well enough alone.

Did you by-pass the OEM resistors for the injectors?

Default Re: "hit a wall @ 5K"...

...could you describe that further?

Does the engine give you full, clean power up to that speed; or does its power taper off the faster you spin it & it struggles to get to 5K?
