Default New lifters

How long before the new lifters are in(they have been in the engine 3 days before I started it up)that they settle in position and quiet themselves?

Default Did you?

Soak them for awhile in oil before installing them?

If not it might take awhile.

You can speed it up by pulling the valve cover and squirting more oil on top of them. Turn the engine over slightly a few times, and squirt on top of them as they compress and expand.

Other than that, they should quite pretty quickly, they shouldn't click for more than a few minutes as I've experienced before.
