Any help would be much appreciated!!!!
1994 CS 90 Quattro 12V 2.8L 5 spd
Stock alarm went crazy, would arm when doors were unlocked and would trigger alarm when you put key in the ignition. Replaced stock alarm/vaccum pump with older vaccum pump from a 4000. Door locks/ trunk/ gas cap all work fine.
Now my interior light do not work when doors are opened, nor does my horn work.
Can anyone help me out with this situation???
Are these new problems related to replacing alarm/vaccum pump module?

p.s.-Please do not suggest "Got Bentley?" because I don't. I am a music producer and work only on Macs and I have failed to find a Bentley paperback and the cd-roms only work on pc's.

and always use the key? turn key, hear noises...etc, or does it only work with the key button?

...because the plugs are completley different so you would have had to modify them to fit. Either way it sounds like you got the wrong alarm control unit for your car. They make different types for different cars (i.e. 90 vs. 100) and they are not interchangable. Do you have a part number??

Yes, you should hear the horn beep if you use the key to *lock* the car. You will NOT hear anything when you *unlock* with the key. If you don't get a "chirp" when locking then the alarm isn't activting. The alarm contact switch is probably out of adjustment!! See if it works with a different door.
