Noise
I have a 1997 Cabriolet. Today, I just noticed that when I turn the wheel all the way to the left or right it makes a very odd noise. It doesn't seem to make an odd noise when I don't do a full turn. I check the power steering fluid, its full. Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Last time I had mine aligned, they didn't tighten the ball joints nuts tight enough. On a tight turn the entire ball joint would slip and the tire would rub the inside fender. Check for rubbing on the tire and on the inner fender. Also, if you get a screeching noise, check the disk brake shield. It could be bent enough to just touch the disk and make noise. Just bend it back.

I just got mine aligned last wednesday. They charged me extra because my BRAND NEW tie rod ends were turned in too far. He didnt have to struggle getting them loose or anything. just probably had to turn them 6 or 7 more times. WTF

Its both a whine and a scraping noise. The tire is very lightly brushing plastic inside the wheel well, but not enough to make this noise, and it also doesn't explain the whine.
