Default nuts and bolts

<img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y145/pharoah007/suspension.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">

I have these 2 bolts sittin arround that I might be able to use to replace my old #12's
<img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y145/pharoah007/DSC01102.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">

Did a little research and I think these are
ISO R898 Class 8.8 Alloy Steel, Quenched and Tempered

They are M14X2X80 (originals are M14X1.5X75)
I do not have the self locking nut for the new bolts tho. I have normal nuts with lock washers in the respective 2.0 thread pattern.

Can these be used? I am shure they will fit but just not shure if it is a good idea to use the nuts I have or if the bolts themselves are hard enough? How hard do thay have to be?

Default I'd stick with the stock thread pitch. Coarser threads could be dangerous. Just re-use the bolts..

with new nuts if you're concerned. I've reused both nuts and bolts for years with no issues.

Default German Metallurgy....

Unless you know the manufacturer of those replacement bolts, and know their tensile strength, I'd stick with OEM. ;O)
