Have broken orange plastic capping at top of
dipstick filler tube
(where the actual dipstick rests when fully home)
Now losing oil through top of dipstick filler tube
and making a mess of engine !
Does anyone know if the 'orange plastic' is
replaceable with the dipstick 'in situ'
OR
if dipstick filler tube has to be removed - how
is it removed from the engine block ?
Any advice would be very welcome.

I had this problem a couple of years ago. For lack of a better name, the orange dip stick tube tube neck is available at any Audi dealership for about $5 - $10 bucks. Good luck.
