After replacing the bad oil pressure sender, the light came on and would flicker once in a while. It would go away when in neutral and on stops at the light but would come back on when given a little gas. When cruising, it stay on.
I am thinking it might be the oil level but I thought I checked, and it was still close to the "high" mark.
Any thoughts? Ideas? TIA
...btw, that took care of my leak and drip on the bottom. Hope it lasts.

could be the oil sensor, i replaced mine on the 88 for a few bucks just for the hell of it, being it checks for the oil pressure if its too low, etc...mine looked ancient so in with a new one. for the 20 bucks or something i'd rather do that then have my oil drain, dead sensor and not even know till its too late that i am running low on oil.

Had this problem on my '91 Bosch 20v coupe.
Intermittent oil lights. Oil level was fine.
One day, the belt to the oil pump started squeaking.
Car is currently waiting for a new oil pump so it can be driven again.<ul><li><a href="http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=915040">Complete Story.</a></li></ul>

Alllll of the 5cyl blocks have the oil pump in the block itself, driven off the crank.
What you circled in that picture is your hydraulic pump, for your power brake assist and power steering assist. Nothing to do with engine oil at all.

oil pump is on the front of the engine driven by the crank shaft. What you circled is the power steering pump.<ul><li><a href="http://www.worldlingo.com/wl/translate?wl_lp=RU-en&wl_glossary=gl2&wl_fl=2&wl_rurl=htt p%3A%2F%2Fwww.elcats.ru%2Faudivw&wl_url=http%3 A%2F%2Fwww.elcats.ru%2Faudivw%2F&wl_post=GET"> Audi diagrams</a></li></ul>
