Oil Pressure? I got by 2 prong oil pressure sender in today...

Default Oil Pressure? I got by 2 prong oil pressure sender in today...
I'm just curious what the "normal" oil pressure should be. When idling, it reads close to 1 on mine. Anything above 2,000 rpm reads between 3-4. Is this normal?

1 on your guage, should be "Bar"?

1 Bar = approx 15psi.

Normally, your oil pressure should be no lower than 26psi at idle. ;O)

Default If the oil pressure was too low at idle the oil pressure light would come on...
I've seen many an Audi 90 with 1.2 bar at idle.

Default ~1.0 bar for idle and there is a higher limit for above 2krpm which is about 2.5 or 3 bar.
I think is was cuatrokoop who posted this info before.

Oil needs to be drained. I was doing an oil change. If you take the drivers side wheel and the pastic guard underneath off, you should be able to access it when the car is jacked up. It also helps to have the oil filter off. For really easy access take the oil cooler off (just have an new O-ring ready to put it back on).
