Upon driving home today my 86 4kq's oil pressure gauge read zero. The sender and gauges are from a B3 90, so I figured somebody could help. I checked the contacts on the sender and cleaned them, no help. Checked wiring behing gauges and even tried a spare B3 gauge, same thing. With the car running I am getting oil to the top of the engine and NO abnormal sounds around the bay.
Can anybody tell me the proper way to test the oil pressure sender? I have a multimeter, just dont have a 80/90 Bentley.
Thanks guys.
Mike

Set up my spare B3 pressure gauge. Connected it to ground, the gauge, and finally the battery, when I connected it to the battery, it read past 5 bar. This means what? When car turned on, reading was the same, didnt move, but I didnt let the car run for that long.
