Default Ok...now i think its fuel related....

Some of you may be folowing my no start issue on my '90 CQ....for those of you who are...thanks!!

Just tried something today....when i left work it took a second of turning over before it started...thats new. When i got home, and shut the car off....i tried IMMEDIATELY after i shut it off...to start it up again.

When i cranked it, it started for a breif second, sputtering...then died out. Then when i tried again....nothing.

Someone said something earlier about vapor lock...but i still dont see any fuel lines close enough to heat to matter (i could be wrong). But still....now it wont start again for at least an hour...maybe more. The cooling fans also seem to stay on for an extra long amount of time after i shut ther motor off....any ideas?

When it starts does it crank over real good and when it doesn't start is the cranking labored?

My car does the exact same thing. Like, exact. The fix I use which may solve your problem is when you get into your car, turn the key to on (not to start the car but to accessories or whatever). You hear the pump thing or whatever it is, then you turn it back to off. Then you do it again, you hear the pump, then you crank. It starts for me this way. Good luck!
