Default To Oliver Sprenger:

The foot rest in your car- can that be retofitted to a 92-95 90 CS sedans or 90-91 20V CQ? What do you have to do fit in? Is it a VW/Audi part? The Audis here on this forum never came with footrests and dearly need them badly.

It is necessary to weld 3 bolts in and cut some holes into the carpet, all that is pictured and explained in the diary! And yes, it is a genuine Audi part, of course. It was available as an option from '92 thru '95 here in Germany.

Only easily possible with the B4, or with type 89 using a B4 carpet.

Default On a similar subject...

What does it take to retrofit the Audi Delta radio and CD changer? I followed the diary when it was in English...although now the online translators don't translate quite right.

Thanks,
Ryan
(Audi-less at the moment [withdrawal setting in] but will hopefully have a 90 by the end of the week :-D )

It only takes a new center console with wide radio aperture and minor cabling rework. Provided you have the original factory CD changer cable, that is.

But be aware, that the Delta is available in two widths: One that is very common (220 mm), used in about any Audi by that time (A4, A6, A8), and one that is very rare (213mm) that has been made only for Audi 80 and its derivatives (only fitted to the Audi Cabriolet and the very last model half year of the RS2). The latter is very expensive, even if bought used, the 220mm wide one doesn't fit at all in the Audi 80/90 range!

I have a 6-disc for the Delta stereo out of one of my previous Audis. I might be able to source a used Cabrio (1997) delta radio from a friend of mine who upgraded the stereo in her Cabrio.

If I was able to get it could you possible describe the change in wiring and the different parts needed to accomodate the center console?

Thanks Again,

Ryan

Default Makes me appreciate RHD!

My car has footrests on both sides of the pedals!!

Would be even better if i had cruise (I'll retrofit it eventually) then i could really use that right footrest!!

Default In due time i will...

My right side footrest is also carpeted, whereas in my mums 94 B4 its all plastic! Her left side footrest is also on more of a slope towards the firewall (about the vertical axis) and i can't even fit my foot between the clutch pedal and the trans tunnel!!
