Default I'm afraid that would't work as the length from TB to MAF is too much to squeze a 45 degree bend

in there.

The problem is not that it doesn't reach, it's that it over-reaches.

Default They all have those plugs - my 90 CQ does, but it is not VAG-COM friendly. :(

The issue is which ECU you have. Early ECU = no VAG-COM. Late ECU = some VAG-COM.

Which ISV you have is the easiest tip-off to which ECU you have.

Default yeah, I didn't mean adding length but changing angle...

Instead of a little extension add 45deg angle...real short...also, you could push that adapter further in, shortening the 90deg elbow...

Or push your airbox further out?? I'm not saying this is all possible as I haven't played with it at all, even my airbox has been out of the car for a long time. Just giving you ideas.

Default Yep, those are all possibilities. Keep in mind that 45 would have to be a 3 1/2"-3" reducer as well.

Also, the 90 degree in the pic can still be shortened. However, there isn't much more that can be taken off before you start eating at that radius where it actually makes the turn. I guess that the 45 can make up for it though. Something to think about for a workover though.

Default No need for a reducer...

if you cut that hose on the angle you will increase its circumference and thus increase its ID.
