Paint Care

This afternoon I was going to wash and wax my car but could not find any of the products that came recommended.
My car's paint (dark green) has been somewhat badly neglected so I wanted to try Nick's "hardcore" method of 3m medium cut rubbing compound and a 3m foam compounding pad. I tried Home Depot, Wall Mart, and Advanced Auto Parts to no avail.
Also, I would like to use the Maguire's "professional" polish. Should I get an orbital buffer thing? If someone could point me in the direction of a store (even online store) that carries all this stuff, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Don't know if they sell in the US. but they do a huge range, their cutting pollish is excellent, which gives your paintwork a new lease of life, aslo recomend 'tyre dresser' for that dark sheen for the tyre walls.

http://www.autoglym.com</a
