Default Painted Grill Trim...

<center><img src="http://www.mnsi.net/~natwhite/See%20Ya%20Soon/IMGP0993.jpg"></center><p>that chrome was tough to sand out. Couple coats of flex primer, few flat black layers, then finally, two clear coat layers.

I did the same to my UrS, IMO on a silver car it is a must.

I actually just peeled the chrome plating off. It typically came off in "large" flakes that way.

Default Scored the edge where the chrome meets the surrounding plastic, then doused it with Acetone.

Trick is to get the acetone to go UNDER the chrome and soften up whatever is holding the chrome to the plastic frame, so where/how you score it is key. It is actually much less work than sanding the chrome to nothing.

Ya, i'm not a fan of that style either. I've seen that cabrio with it, looks good there though!
