Default Pearl white '91 coupe in a salvage yard in Maryland

This weekend a friend and I drove to a salvage yard just outside of Baltimore, MD called Crazy Ray's just to take a look around.

To my astonishment I found a pearl white '91 coupe. The car is front eneded pretty hard, so the hood, windshield and fenders are pretty wrecked. It has also been picked fairly clean, entire driveline and suspension are gone, bumpers are gone, window regulators, door panels all gone. What is there is a hatch with good glass, the rear quarter windows, the door shells (nothing in them, but they are straight), and the outer taillight sections, although they are somewqhat sun cracked. Also, the gray leather is all in the car, but not in the best shape. Heartbreakingly, the glass sunroof panel is there, but the metal frame that is bonded to the glass is so rusted it is literally crumbling away. The sunroof switch and motor are gone though.

The VIN was #500 something.

The car is located in a Crazy Ray's You Pull It Salvage Yard 410-354-4800 (there are four locations, so pay attention). This picture sums it up pretty well:

The drveshaft was shattered. and the motor was thre but by he time he went back it was gone. I did get the injectors and a few other parts.

I'm just glad somebody got the parts, I'd hate to see them go to waste!

Default Did it have the gauge cluster?

And does anyone know if a 91 guage cluster is compatible with a 90?

As long as they're both from a CQ you should be fine.

Default Let me know...

I've been looking to replace mine since I blew the chance of buying one from another member here. Guy who built my car replaced the temp guage with an Autometer guage that is not illuminated. I'm about ready to get an AIM cluster from 034!

Default Would you be interested in one

with a bad autocheck, but at a very good price?

ASFAIK that was the only thing wrong with it if it is even the one that was bad. It might be perfectly good.
