I'm planning on doing any S2 front bumper conversion down the road and was wondering if pearl white is an easy color to blend/match. I've heard pearl paints in general are always a little more difficult, true or false?

Tornado Pink would also be hard (depending on how bad it's oxidized)

Default Re: Hard

+1 its tough to get right. there are a few random factors like how the base metallic lays down and the pearl application. i think its a 3 step process.

better to do the whole car at once ;(

Default its pretty much one of the hardest. its a 3 stage pearl. dont waste your time with...

cheaper shops. go to a reputable body/paint shop and have it done right.

It's one of the most dreaded colors to color match, and a paint job can be very expensive....

Default I'm not talking just about a full paint job, i'm talking about even touch ups.

I had a 1.5 square inch patch of metal resprayed, the lowest quote I got was $1500 simply because of how difficult it is to even blend the tri-stage pearl.

Default If painting needs to be done, then I'd probably consider doing a full body paint job

and possibly change to the brighter and cleaner looking Ibis White, which is also a non-pearl color.
