Default question:

how do those lower rear control arms even rotate since the bushing axes are not colinear? Maybe the compliance in the stock rubber bushings allows it, but it seems like it would pretty much wreck itself with hard busings in.

Maybe I'm missing something, I've never looked at one of these up close in person.

Default That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw this pic.

Looks like it's coming along quite nicely Joe!

Default that's a good question...

And I'm not sure I have an answer for you. It does rotate, though. When I had them off the car the first time, I wondered the same thing. I think when you say that the compliance in the stock rubber busings allows the rotation, then that would also lead to premature wear of the bonded rubber bushings. Again, I wish I had an answer for you...I can take a video of it moving with the poly bushings if you want...or you can just trust me on this one! ;-)

Default they aren't too crazy for the weight of the car...but yeah, Porsche 996 calipers...

like I said, they could have been much bigger! I fiddled with some much larger calipers and rotors that required 18" wheels, but in the end, I don't need all the extra rotational mass or the larger wheels. =)

I trust you that it moves, but something has to bend for it to move.

That doesn't work without bending.

Default so you are moving quite along! nice. Full weekend ahead of me....

hope to pull all the harness. Swap manifolds, VC gasket, clean up fuel rail, start mocking up new harness(oh god!), and whatever else comes along.
