I didnt even know such things existed. Apparantly you can get mail 365 days a year including Christmas for the right price.
Had a manufacturer send a me a 2.25" O.D. rod sample of a new Delrin type material named Acetron GP that supposedly machines easier/better than Delrin but also features Graphite Impregnation so as to never require lubrication when used as a "bushing material." This material is touted as the "latest/greatest" hi-tech control arm bushing material. Delrin has always been my dream material to machine as its so quiet and easy to machine. I'll make a new design set of my front control arm bushings this morning and see how much easier this is to machine. Apparently this has been around awhile as I've now found several references to it when doing a Google search. Mostly NASCAR suspension and American muscle car bushing references but looks promising as a control arm bushing material. Especially the "self-lubricating" properties.
I'll go whip up a set of control arm bushings and see how I like it when finished.
I'll post a pic up later to let you guys have a peek.
